Budget funds?

We have a sister in our stake who has been called as the building coordinator for all the buildings in stake. This is done in an online process. She is on a tight budget and the Stake President would like to help with the cost of the internet. He would like to pay this from the stake budget. Is this an appropriate use of budget funds?

Although I don't see that it would be a prohibited use of budget funds, it might be prudent to explore other options. For example, is there a Family History Center close where she can do that work? But if it's a service needed for her calling, it seems like it's appropriate; it's not any different from a ward newsletter publisher needing paper or ink.

What exactly is her role? If it's the Stake PFR, that has to be a High Councilor.

If it's to do with scheduling, it's possible that she's been given a task that simply does not work in the new calendar system. The old day-to-day work of a building scheduler has been automated. It's not possible for one person to enter events for multiple wards. The remaining workload is much lighter.

She is scheduling the use of the 4 buildings in the stake.

Details, please. I think she's been given an assignment that cannot be done. All wards have to do thier own scheduling. The old way is dead.

Except in places where it isn't. It goes against all common sense, and every instruction provided with the Calender system, but she could conceivably be placing everything on a stake calendar, with additional access granted so she could access buildings outside of her own. For that matter, she might even keep a paper calender which she considers the "official schedule."

It's possible, but that would require foreknowledge and a accurate understanding of how the system works.

What I'm concerned about is that the stake presidency issued a call and responsibilities based on tradition, not realizing they're setting up this sister to fail. It's happened too many times.
