EIN #(Federal Tax Number)

I have a member who wants to pay their tithing from a retirement account(IRA). The
financial institution requires the EIN # of the church. I believe it is 23-7300405, but want to make sure.
Also, what is the address to mail the tithing directly to SLC ?

Have them contact the Donations-in-Kind office by phone 801-240-2554 or by email
donationsinkind@ldschurch.org. They can assist in making sure the donation is processed correctly.

You can also go to the following Internal Revenue Service's website for the Exempt Organizations Select Check. It's also a good site if someone externally tries to get donations from you.

From here one is able search for:
1.Organizations eligible to receive tax-deductible charitable contributions (Pub. 78 data),
2.Organizations whose federal tax exemption was automatically revoked for not filing a Form 990-series return or notice for three consecutive years, or
3.Form 990-N (e-Postcard) filers and filings.
