Ward Missionary Fund

I have a family who had moved from WY to CA, and had the missionary fund follow them for their son who is on a mission. Now they moved locally within the stake, but their missionary fund is still at their old ward. We have not been able to figure out how to request this to be moved to our ward. As it is now, they still go to the old ward to deposit funds to his account but would like to have this in their current home ward.

Had inquired of our stake clerk and have had no suggestions on how to do this.

Suggestions??

Do it the same way as when they moved from Wyoming to California. Call the missionary department and give them the name of the new ward that is taking responsibility for the missionary contributions.

Usually the bishop or the clerk of the new ward should make the call, so that Headquarters knows they are in agreement.

(And then tell the stake clerk how it is done.)

We just sent a request by message through LUS from MLS stating what need to be done with the details and that the bishops were in agreement. LUS took care of the details needed to get it fixed.
