Reporting attendance for Quarterly reports

Good morning,

I have found where the EQ/HP secretary would record HT for each month electronically, but is there a place for reporting weekly attendance? Our secretary has been keeping the weekly attendance electronically & now needs to get the reports to the ward clerk for the quarterly report but has no paper reports to give. What to do.?.

There isn't any support for reporting attendance to the ward clerk in LCR. You should ask the ward clerk how he would like the information reported to him. There is no standard method. The quarterly report only needs a single number but your ward may wish to have specific names or other information for various purposes.

I believe the question brings up a good point for future consideration. Currently, the quarterly report auto fills the information in the "Potential" column and by clicking on the number, it will show the names of that group. Then quite possibly, and perhaps on a weekly basis the organization secretary or clerk could enter the attendance information weekly into the system. Then at the end of the quarter, or more specifically the last month of the quarter, the Quarterly Report could match the names of the attendees with the names that the unit has the member records (the potential list) and post it in the "Actual" column. From the stand point of a 'bean counter' and not a computer guy, that seems possible in our current electronic world.
As a former and current ward clerk, I have seen attendance numbers exceed potential numbers. And have also known that there are few members of record that have not graced the chapel/classroom doors and the attendance shows 100% actual attendance.
One reason I like the thought is that Primary, YM, YW and Single Adults are part of the Budget Allowance calculations. To me this would greatly improve the accuracy of the quarterly report (for ministering purpose) and for funding purposes. Just my thoughts, But sure like the idea.

I am new to this computer stuff. I can't find a way to imput my weekly/monthly or quarterly attendance on the computer. Am I supposed to keep rolls this way (On the computer) or just print the rolls and keep track on paper and turn in my report quarterly to the clerk? I am the Primary Sec. in my ward, the Relief Society Sec is having the same problem.

I also experience like difficulties and have spent numerous hours trying to navigate this system. I would rather have the paper and pencil recording system which worked from time immemorial. This makes me think that l am a failure and ready to give up my calling. I am 73 and want to enjoy my retirement, not have to take a course in computer science.

Reporting attendance hasn't really changed. Your clerk gives you a roll, you mark it each week, and then give it back to him. There is no "online" attendance reporting, other than at the end of the quarter when the ward clerk puts the total into the quarterly report as he has been doing for years.

The only real change for the clerk is that he no longer put the number into MLS. He puts it in online at LCR.

Go to Organizations in Leader and Clerk Resources. Click Sunday School, and then the Members tab. Select the course and press Print. Choose the Print Attendance Rolls button.

If you do not select a specific course, attendance rolls for all of the classes will print.

I'm new at putting together or calculating the quarterly Attendance Roll for "High Priests Group". I was told if one person attends priesthood (HP) then that would count as attendance for the Quarter. So how do you calculate everything together step by step in order to be 100% accurate to turn it in to the ward clerk? (hbh548@gmail.com) Thanks
