Relief Society Household Report

I've been asked by the Ward Relief Society President to generate a report listing all households with a candidate for Relief Society, including all of the details of all household members (d.o.b. etc)
I can find plenty of things that will generate the details of just the candidate members but not their households.
Anyone have any ideas?

I don't understand what a "candidate" for Relief Society is. What is the RS president trying to accomplish? Since I have never heard the term "candidate" for RS ever being used I cannot imagine what is needed that is not available from a directory listing from both within MLS and the online Directory.

If you mean a candidate for a member of the RS presidency then the RS president can use the unit directory printed from either MLS or from the online Directory. The online directory will have to be printed by an administrator to give full access to the directory of all households, including those with a visibility setting of "Private - Leadership Only". Of course the household directories would include all households and not only those with RS sisters in them. Missing from the directories would be age or birthday information. A directory that would include age or birthday information would have to come from a custom report in MLS. By using a custom report you can include only households with RS sisters and include age or birthday information.

I don't agree that the RS president should need date of birth for every member of a household when considering a candidate for a RS calling. I can see needing the ages of the children since that could have some bearing on helping to determine the better candidates for a calling but not the birth dates of each member of the household.

I'm also confused about the "candidate" thing. But if it's all females 18 or older, I think you'd be better off starting with a full directory and simply blacking out any families that don't match the definition. There are many things you can do with custom reports in MLS, but in this case (if I'm guessing properly) a "candidate" could be a spouse or a child. I don't think you can create a report that will work that way.

Sorry to confuse people with the candidate phrasing. I simply meant that any household with females 18 and over. I think a custom report may have to be the way to go, I'm just not very familiar with them.

I don't think there's a way to list a household based on the children. So I don't think that will work.

I think a custom report listing females 18 and over would be the starting place. But I do not recall if there is a Head of Household field (Yes/No) or even a way to list the Household name. (I cannot easily access MLS right now.)

If there is, the custom report would get you as much information as any other method.

Now if the Relief Society president is looking for a list of Laurels who will be coming into Relief Society, you might just print the list of Laurels and have the Laurel advisor put a star by the ones who will be leaving Young Women this summer.
