Hi ... I am the Stake Technology Specialist ... my Stake President has asked if there is a way to use technology to better assist in the use of the New & Returning Member Progress Form for discussion at ward councils and submitting to Stake Presidency? Some way for the PDF to be completed electronically and viewed by all WC members, the Stake Presidency and High Council. Some sort of Drop Box or Cloud ...

This would be similar to the viewing of missionary reports by the full time missionaries through the church portal ... which is done by the Stake President.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Anything proposed needs to consider the Meetinghouse Technology Policy 4.9.4. "The use of cloud-based services for storing and/or backing up MLS or any membership related data is prohibited."

Your stake president is going to have to interpret if the New & Returning Member Progress Form falls into "membership related data", but considering that the data come from the membership system, that seems like a pretty dark shade of gray to me. I certainly would not be storing anything considered confidential.

I believe the LCR has some functions, but it may be limited as far as filling in locally entered numbers (attendance, etc.)
