Users with only organizational permissions are unable to view or print certain custom reports, with no apparent reason. One example is a list of sisters in the ward with name, address, phone, age and birthday. There are no sensitive data in these prohibited reports. Error message says "you do not have sufficient rights to view this report" or some such when they attempt to view or print.

What do I need to do to allow them to print these custom reports?

I don't know the critiera, but I'm willing to bet that others may disagree about age and/or birthday not being sensitive.

If this isn't a age field that blanks out for adults, then between the two you have birthdate, which is frequently considered sensitive information and useful for identity theft.

Perhaps age is sensitive information, but shouldn't the Relief Society president have access to birth dates and ages?

What purpose would the RS president need the age for?

How about whether a sister is a young single adult for reporting purposes, or whether she is a very young or very old mother who may need additional support, etc. Also for the same reason an Elder's quorum leader might want to know whether a brother is young enough to help with a member movein or may be old and too feeble to move furniture. Lots of good reasons, and as for birthday, how about when to send a birthday card?

Maybe. The real question is what they have access to on LCR. MLS is slowly being phased out and the rights are being re-thought as the new system is worked on.

As russelhltn said, the LCR may provide this information for members of the leaders organization. Because the MLS rights are more coarse grained it isn't possible to restrict extra information to just those a leader has responsibility for.

However, if LCR does not provide that information (and I'm not sure what it does provide for quorum and auxiliary leaders) then I would assume legal counsel and the general authorities decided privacy law or policy would not allow such access. In many countries the legal restrictions are more severe than in the US.

I'd also say that age is a poor indicator of whether someone needs extra support or can provide assistance. Hopefully leaders are relying more on personal visits and home and visiting teachers for better feedback on what the needs and abilities of their members are. As for birthday cards, birthday lists (without age) have always been available to those with organization rights in MLS.

Age is the field that is triggering the issue with the custom report.

Birth date and age are available to Relief Society presidents in Leader and Clerk Resources, but only for members assigned to the Relief Society. MLS doesn't have the logic to map the user to the organization and then filter the output to only show data for members of the correct organization, so the Relief Society president cannot generate a custom report with age or birth date.
