Removing member record that was entered in error?

I entered a baby's info twice - since the first time I had the DOB incorrect. How can I remove the membership record with the wrong DOB? I tried the confidential name removal option but that's probably not the correct way to remove it.

In MLS from the menu select Membership > Records > Cancel Record. Select the record with the incorrect birth date, click the Duplicate Record option and enter the MRN for the record with the correct birthdate (you can use the Select button to find the other record and have it fill in the MRN). Close and save and then do a send/receive.
