Cannot align printing on checks

#1

Post by toogooda »

For the last month our MLS has been printing checks/cheques incorrectly. The top two sections look fine but the alignment for the actual cheque is off badly and overwrites much of the pre-printed text.

I can verify that under settings I have the following:

Code: Select all

System Options/Finance
Yes selected for "Print checks"

Code: Select all

System Options/Printing/Check Printing Offsets
Top Margin Offset (inches) = 0.00
Left Margin Offset (inches) = 0.00
I have already tried using the two offset options above to fix it as the top part is not as important as getting the actual cheque correct. But by the time I have moved it enough to put the name in the right place the amount is off the page :(. This tells me that rather than it being a alignment issue it is actually the template not matching the printed cheques.

It seems to have changed with a MLS update but I am not entirely sure it may relate to something else that changed then. Also the ward down the road is not having any issues.

Here is some more information if it helps.

Ward = Huntly (53694)
I am logging in as Ward Clerk

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Just in case it is important there is one other setting that looks odd

System Options/Printing/Languages
Check Printing drop down box is blank with no options to select.

Not sure if that is important

I called for support, and just for the record this was the solution.

Edit file C:\ProgramData\LDS Church\MLS\data\print.properties
The country code somehow became blank so I just had to put the contry code back in in my case NZ (New Zealand)

So file looked like

#Sun Nov 02 13:45:24 NZDT 2014
Variant=
Language=en
PrinterName=Lexmark E250d (MS)
Country=NZ
PaperSize=0
DisplayUnits=0

All worked fine after that
