Record removal

I am a newly called ward clerk. I am starting to identify names on the list of members which have never been baptized but were blessed as children or had some contact with the church. The bishop has requested that we draft a letter to be sent out to these people (some may now be adults) and invite them to meet with us or have themselves removed from our membership rolls. Is there a form letter in the church system that is out there or is this 100% as the spirit directs us?

I am assuming you and your bishop have reviewed Handbook 1: Stake Presidents and Bishops, 13.6.2. The instructions in that section addresses what to do with those who have a membership record, are between the ages of 9 and 18, and have not been baptized. It also provides instruction for the records for those who are over 18 and unbaptized. As for any written correspondence, it is left to the inspiration of the bishop.
