Well, they can get Church email addresses. I did not follow through to see how far a counselor can actually go.drepouille wrote:I know that stake presidents can access the "secure" information, but I'm waiting to hear if his counselors can or not.

I think it is funny that when a stake president logs in to publicaffairs.lds.org, they find out that they have a new e-mail address they have to check for messages. Ugh. Too bad they couldn't receive all messages through a single mailbox.

The same thing is true for counselors, who do not even have Church email addresses in the first place.drepouille wrote:I think it is funny that when a stake president logs in to publicaffairs.lds.org, they find out that they have a new e-mail address they have to check for messages. I have learned since last evening that a counselor in the stake presidency does have full access to the PA site by virtue of his calling in MLS/CDOL, just as does the stake president.
So the only ones that need to be loaded in MLS are the stake PA committee, and they will gain access if they are loaded in standard callings and MLS properly flows to CDOL.

Not sure if this is public knowledge, but using Internet Exploder, a person can see a bit of raw data for the LDS Account they are currently logged in with at https://www.lds.org/header. (For some reason, it's not working for me using FireFox.)scgallafent wrote:These are the CDOL numeric IDs associated with these standard positions. I'm not sure where those IDs are exposed, so I don't know that they're much good for most people.drepouille wrote: • Stake Director of Public Affairs (calling #724)
• Stake Public Affairs Assistant (calling #1417)
• Stake Public Affairs Specialist (calling #726)
If you look at the policy-ldspositions: line, I believe the above calling numbers will be found following the letter "p". I think the "p" stands for "position", as it's pretty clear the number following a "u" is a "unit" number.
So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.
