I upgraded my ASUS laptop from WIN 8.0 to Win 8.1 When I attempt to startup LDS View Standard or Resource 64 bit, I get an error message and it shuts down.
I have been corresponding with LDS Church assistance on this, they did not have a problem with WIN 8.1. They suggested that I try LDS TECH forums or Ask a Question.

Apparently there are issues with Win 8.1?

I just tested LDS View on a netbook running 32 bit Windows 8.1 and it runs fine with no error message or fatal error. It would be helpful if you would post the contents of the error message. You might try uninstalling LDS view and reinstalling the program if it was carried over from when you had Windows 8.0. Additionally, you could try installing the 32 bit version of LDS view and see if that works.
