Re: Home Teaching Reporting on LDS.org
Home and visiting teaching reports – view-only, access based on calling – are slated for LDS Tools 2.5, the next release.

Re: Home Teaching Reporting on LDS.org
I am the West Jordan Utah Westbrook Stake Clerk. We have a Care Center Branch (Westbrook 11th Branch) with some priesthood members from Wards in our Stake serving as Home Teachers (and Sisters serving as Visiting Teachers). Under LCR Membership and Home/Visiting Teaching, we have them identified as Out-of-Unit members, but we are unable to assign them as Home/Visiting Teachers in the Branch. This make it impossible for the Branch Clerk to assign and report on their visits to members in the Care Center. Is there any way this can be corrected? If not, how can we document these visits?

Currently only members (not out-of-unit members) can be made HT or VT.
I believe there's a way to document the visit, perhaps by going into the household.

As mentioned previously out-of-unit members cannot currently be assigned to home teaching or visiting teaching companionships in LCR. If an out-of-unit member is companioned with a member of the unit then you will have to keep track of these companionships outside of LCR. As long as one of the companions is a member of the unit then HT visits or VT visits can be recorded.DWMoore46 wrote:Under LCR Membership and Home/Visiting Teaching, we have them identified as Out-of-Unit members, but we are unable to assign them as Home/Visiting Teachers in the Branch.
If both of the companions are out-of-unit then you will have to use a work-around. The companionship and who they teach will have to be tracked outside of LCR. The definition of "unassigned" as used in this post refers to prospective elders and single sisters who are not assigned to a companionship in LCR. Therefore prospective elders and single sisters assigned to be taught by out-of-unit companionships will remain "unassigned" in LCR.DWMoore46 wrote:This make it impossible for the Branch Clerk to assign and report on their visits to members in the Care Center. Home teaching visits to members of a quorum and to single sisters as well as visiting teaching visits to sisters of the RS assigned to be taught by an out-of-unit companionship can be recorded.
For the RS visits to unassigned sisters is done by going to the Households tab, click the name of the sister visited, and click "View Household Profile" button. The household visiting teaching profile for the sister will be displayed and the visit can be recorded. Note that the current month and the previous twelve are available for recording using this method.
Home teaching visits to members of the Elders quorum are done the same way provided the member of the quorum is a Melchizedek Priesthood holder. Visits to unassigned prospective elders and unassigned single sisters can only be recorded through the High Priests quorum since unassigned prospective elders, by default, are the responsibility of the High Priests even if the prospective elders are members of the Elders Quorum. This will require the HT visits to be reported to the HP Group for recording or recorded by the unit clerk, assistant clerk, assistant clerk - membership, or bishop/branch president. As with unassigned prospective elders, single sisters are the responsibility of the HP Group and therefore must be recorded as above for unassigned prospective elders.
Home teaching visits to members of the HP Group as well as unassigned prospective elders and unassigned single sisters is done the same way as for RS HT visits.

Re: Home Teaching Reporting on LDS.org
I am not able to allow a Deacon to be a home teacher on the High Priest companionship add. Add Deacon is not an option. MLS would allow this under "all" for companionship add.
Also the same as adding a spouse to home teach with the husband.
Is there a workaround?

Having a Deacon as a HT doesn't square with the Handbook. LCR is more faithful to the Handbook than MLS was.Bruno2u wrote:I am not able to allow a Deacon to be a home teacher on the High Priest companionship add. Add Deacon is not an option. MLS would allow this under "all" for companionship add.
That should be possible. See this threadBruno2u wrote:Also the same as adding a spouse to home teach with the husband.

Thank you that worked for assigning a spouse to a husband for home teaching. My Bishop has been having the Deacon's assigned to home teach even though the handbook says that home teaching is the primary responsibility of Teacher, Priests, Elders, and High Priests.

Re: Home Teaching Reporting on LDS.org
Keep in mind that while the Handbook may not prohibit assigning Deacons as Home Teachers, the application's rules were not done by developers following the Handbook. The "business rules" where handed down from the Priesthood Department.
