Purposes
This Senior Engineer position will lead the execution of Major Incident Management (MIM) Support services, including supervising rapid resource assignment and allocation procedures to restore service as soon as possible during major outages. A key focus is to employ measures that will minimize or avoid the impact of Major Incidents. Communication expertise is essential – written, verbal, and presentation skills – to effectively provide concise status notifications to executive management, promote productive incident review exercises, encourage and advance effective incident response practices, coordinate with customers and partners to create and enhance run books and response plans, and train the organization on the MIM process. This position also leads the execution of disaster recovery plans, conducts disaster recovery testing, and orchestrates rehearsal activities to help ensure that the organization is prepared to respond in the event of a disaster.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
5+ years combined management responsibility within a technology organization.
Extensive experience in managing process execution and IT operations activities.
Experience in managing in a 24x7 availability environment important.
Must have a solid technology background; breadth of experience helpful.
Must be skilled at establishing vision and have the ability to translate that vision into business solutions.
Must demonstrate excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation.
Must demonstrate ability to coordinate individual and group efforts in high-stress troubleshooting situations
Must have a Bachelor's degree. MS or MBA, a plus.
Must have experience building and maintaining inter- and intra-team relationships.
Must be able to work across the enterprise to identify opportunities for improved major incident responses, and reduce mean time to recovery (MTTR).
Must interact with and advise process engineering teams on solving problems and generating process improvements relative to major incident management and disaster recovery processes.
Must have strong IT operational experience, e.g. budgeting, resource management, and metrics.

Position-Specific Preferred Qualifications:
Must have strong understanding of ITIL V3 framework.
Must have a broad and sufficiently deep understanding of enterprise technologies including Network, Firewall, Client/Server, Database, and Backup/Restore
Preferred to have experience in managing operations-focused teams comprised of individuals with diverse skills, supporting a broad range of technologies.
Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution
Experience with leading trouble-shooting efforts and IT emergency responses
Must be able to recognize and manage with metrics, establishing and reporting on key performance indicators.


Worthiness Qualification
Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints currently temple worthy.
