Resources are not added to or part of a calendar per se. Resources are part of a location. See the calendar help,
Managing Locations and Resources, for further information. In this case the LCD projector would be listed in the Resources listbox when the Stake Center is selected in the Location of the Event Details.
The procedure for adding a resource (LCD Projector) to a location (Stake Center) is found on the calendar help in the
Managing Locations and Resources section. The only persons who can add or edit a location resource is a stake default approver or the location building scheduler(s).
Only calendar editors and the building scheduler for the location with the resourse can reserve a resource. Stake members at large cannot reserve any resources unless they have calendar editor rights to at least one calendar. To reserve the resource, an event must be created in a calendar and the Stake Center selected in the Location. Then the LCD Projector can be selected in the Resources listbox.
There is currently no method to view the schedule of reservations for a resource or who has reserved that resource. That may come in a later revision. The only way to know whether a resource is reserved is when an event is created, the resource selected, and the the "Check for Conflicts" button clicked. Then if there is a conflict the details of the conflict will be displayed to include the resource(s) and who has made the reservation.
Another more tedious method to check on a resource's availability is to clear all subscribed calendars from view, select only the specific location (stake center) in Subscribed Locations, and click on each event near the time the resource would be reserved to open the event details to see the resources reserved and who has created the event and therefore reserved the resources. This requires each event to be checked to see whether or not the resource in question has been reserved.
An event being held at a location not the same as the location at which the LCD projector normally resides will require creating an event to reserve the projector and another event for the location at which the actual event will be held.
Stake members at large who do not have editor rights to a calendar must contact the building scheduler to reserve a resource.
