Data Security on LDS.org

#1

Post by jangerbauer »

Hi, I'm happy and excited to see all the new features and improvements happening on LDS org -- including but not limited to the auto-sync feature between the highlights/notes I put in My Study NoteBook online and my Gospel Library iPhone app. Thanks!

I am curious to know what measures are in place to keep my personal data secure. I'm not just talking about the security of the website, and my data being compromised, but also -- knowing that the site is being constantly improved -- the potential loss of data due to an upgrade or change in the platform.

I would like to start using the journal feature, but am hesitant as I do know how secure / stable this site at the moment. Is there any kind of statement or standard that users can see that addresses this? I'd love to see something similar to Google's Security and Privacy page: http://www.google.com/support/a/bin/ans ... swer=60762

Any information in this regard would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know if this is what you are looking for but the privacy policyand terms of usefor lds.org are found by clicking the links at the bottom of the home page and most other related lds.org pages. Look in the Content Submissions sub-section of the Privacy Practices section in the Privacy Policy for reference to journal information.
