Ever since the new.lds.org became the standard church website I have found that many of the new features make the site very slow and unresponsive on my mobile devices. They're great on my computer using the same internet connection, but it seems that there is so much content and functionality that my mobile devices are overwhelmed by the site.
Is there any effort to make a scaled down, mobile version of the site with menus streamlined and features such as the study helps turned off (or whatever was necessary to make it a smoother, faster experience on mobile devices)?

LDS.org going Mobile
Yes, we have started design efforts to capture the new lds.org into the web mobile experiences. We are expecting design/css/styles to be completed over the next 1-2 months and then we will begin to develop optimized pages for the web mobile devices. We are beginning with the core gospel library content - scriptures, general conference, manuals and the homepage. Thank you for your question and your feedback.
