Can't login to lds.org

My son created an account years ago. I use the username and password we had saved but they don't work. When I try to recover the username, it says that option isn't available for this account. I can't recover the password either. It won't send anything to a phone or email and the Membership number didn't work. What now?

You might try re-creating the account. It's possible the account was deleted for inactivity or wasn't confirmed. I haven't heard how long an account can be left idle.
