Proposed HT changes

I am currently trying to sort out the HT companionships and assignments in my ward (which is a forever ongoing process) and found it really difficult to keep track of possible suggestions and changes which are in various notebooks etc. Would it be possible to implement in LCR a view of current assignments side by side with proposed changes. That way you can play around with assignments without actually making the permanent changes in LCR.

This could be taken one step further with a submit for approval button which would notify the Bishop there are changes awaiting his review and approval. All he would need to do then is click approve / Decline (or approve all) for each suggestion which would notify the HPGL / EQP of the decision and the changes to implemented.

The ability to review a companionship's assignments by geographical location on a map is currently available on the LDS tools app but not on the LCR section of LDS.org. Having this function available on LCR would also be extemely useful when trying to ensure the assigned families are not too far apart and a burden on the companionships.

We can discuss and refine suggestions like this on the forums but to actually make the suggestion to the church decision makers you need to use the Feedback link on an LCR page.

However, in this post someone got a response to feedback that indicates they would like to implement the kind of system you are suggesting but it's a matter of time and budget and it just hasn't risen to the top of the priority list.
