SEO Initiatives

Has the Church invested any time or effort into Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for their sites? If you have, what sort of things did you do and what were the results? I would imagine that better search rankings would help lds.org, and other Church sites, be closer to the top of search engine search results. I know there is a lot of negative and non-official content out there competing for space in the search results.

Here is a link explaining SEO if anyone is interested. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine_optimization

It looks like Larry Richman (ldswebguy) is paying attention to it, so I would think the Church is actively working on it.

Yes, we are looking at SEO and the various terms people use to find our content. There's a lot more to be done, but we have a team working on it.
