The new WISE web site for seminary teachers at teacher.ldschurch.org is repeating the last name on some youth, but not others. For example, one of the youth is listed as [First Name] [Last Name] [Last Name] and another is listed as [First Name] [Middle Name] [Last Name] [Last Name]. Two more of the youth in this class are correct, meaning that the last name is not repeated.

As stake executive secretary, I have access to the seminary registration details for the entire stake, and all of the names are correctly stated on the registration site. I'm guessing that there is something amiss with the new WISE application.

There should be a 'Feedback' link you can provide the comments on. This website is members helping members and the best way to get this information to the developers is to use the feedback on that site.

It would be interesting to learn where those names come from. I've seen that problem in the past with the old LUWS site - I wasn't paying attention and entered my full name into a "first name" field. IIRC, it only asked me my "preferred first name" and ran with my legal last name. But since I wasn't paying close attention, I entered my preferred full name into the only field provided.

I looked for that to try and report it, but there is no feedback link on the page.

That's what I figured has happened, but it's not the within the seminary registration system where the error resides. I was thinking it's probably one of Seminaries and Institutes other databases.

My wife is a seminary teacher, so I asked her to check the old WISE system. In that system it shows the Preferred First Name as the students' first and last names. Now we just need to figure out who to contact to get that changed. We'll try the regional seminary office.
