Linking scriptures

Linking scriptures on my mobile device works great, but I need that same ability on my desktop as well. I've done lots of searching, it seems that this is not possible. Really? The mobile app is more effective than the desktop? I must have missed something...
If there is a way, please let me know. Thanks

There is no app specifically written for desktops. But the Windows app should run on Windows 8 - but that's just a side benefit of the tablet/phone development.

I absolutely agree. I love the desktop notes and use them all the time but the lack of cross-referencing or linking between scriptures or other resources is a huge gap in functionality.
