LDS Website is down for maintenance

As of September 15, 2012 at 4:00pm PST, I noticed that sections of
http://www.lds.org is not working. I am able to search with minimal capacity but does anyone know when the posted "down for maintenance" message will be replaced with full functionality. I hope that this is not a DDoS attack. I really need to prepare for a talk.

Yes, I've seen that, too. I really doubt that it is any kind of DoS attack. The "down for maintenance" message rarely means that it is down for maintenance; rather, it is a message that comes up when the site is down or unresponsive for any reason. Typically these outages don't last long.
UPDATE: In fact, right after I posted this, I checked again, and it seems to be working fine.
