There seems to be another with the same problem. Maybe monitoring this thread from vBulletin.org might be useful in our quest for the perfect RSS feed.

I'm still interested in having an RSS feed based off of posts and replies instead of new threads. Has there been any progress?

Unfortunately no progress. I've sent a request in to the company that develops and sells the software. It could take a while.
