How about a New members welcome sub forum?

A new members welcome sub forum would be good, where new users can say hello and get welcomed in ect... helps to build a stronger sense of community and new users will feel more encouraged to participate.

Bobby,
Welcome to the Tech Forum and thanks for your suggestion.
Although I understand where you're coming from, opening up such a forum would probably turn into a chat room, which isn't the purpose of this forum. I'd rather encourage participation in the forums that we have, which are technology-based.
