Bishop Ordination Certificate

Is there a certificate that Bishops receive that shows they have been ordained as a Bishop. One of our newly called Bishops is asking about this, as the state requires a certificate as a requirement to solemnize a marriage. I could not find anything on MLS and don't know of anywhere else to look.

The Office of the First Presidency will send him one.

In the meantime, the bishop should be able to use a High Priest ordination certificate to file with the state.

Was ordained bishop and set apart on the 12th of June 2016, but was not issued a certificate because the stake President printed and misplaced it.
What do I do to get one. Thanks

You can ask the stake clerk to print one. But odds are it will have the current stake president's signature.

The bishop ordination certificates are printed at Church Headquarters. I'm guessing if you need a reprint you'll need to contact the GSD.

I was wondering if there had been a change. I guess not. Last I knew, the First Presidency issued those certificates and they were mailed directly to the bishop himself.
