How to webcast video and PPT presentations?

This is for Regional training meetings that gets webcasted to the various buildings in our State three other Stakes. Want to display video clips and PPT presentations.

I was told that MHW 3.0 will only let me display images (JPG) by the GSD person. If there is a video clip in the folder of JPGs would it play it?

Will I have to use a video mixer switcher to do it? Someone have a list of equipment needed and how it all works? Is there a thread already covering this?

This is getting out of my level of experience. I am beginning to understand why some stakes have all this equipment.

Got MHW working with sound and realized that video is included in v3.0 as well as JPG's. PPT presentations would have to be made into individual JPG files for each page. Have not tried that yet.

Still looking of a recommendation for a video mixer switch that is reasonably priced.

If you have Open Office, Office 2007 or 2010 (possibly older ones do it as well) you can do a "Save As" and choose Jpeg as the format. It will then save the presentation as a nice folder of Jpegs.

I have done this to put the presentation into a DVD and it worked well (using Win 7 x64 and Office 2007).
