Hint for desperate times

I'd like to share a hint for those who run into problems and just can't get their receive sites to pick up. This may not work for everyone but try it if you like and see if it works.

On the Terradek, on the Broadcast view, there is a URL. If this URL is taken and put into a VLC player, the stream will play.

Basically what this is doing is that the VLC player is connecting to the raw stream. There will be no stats. There will be no adaption. The stream is what it is.
If doing this, be sure an set the stream encode rate low enough so their will be no glitches on the encode and that the receive site will be able to pick it up.

So for those desperate enough just to get a stream to play at a receive site, try this.

Thanks! My stake center has 100/20, and the satellite building has 20/5. I'm going to test a 720p raw stream with no CDN.

We use the URL that can be given out - again it doesn't have the stats, but is created when the webcast is created. We instruct the receiing sites to have both ready in a tab to switch between because if you disconnect for some reason it doesn't let you right back in so we switch to the non-monitored URL.
