Video capture for PVC

I wandered into Best Buy, and told the kids in blue that I needed to capture composite video from a camera to a USB port on my laptop. They gave me blank stares and silence, so I went elsewhere.

Since I have been directed to use PVC instead of a webcast, I bought the following Video 2 PC product: http://www.ionaudio.com/products/detail ... -2-pc-mkii

I could have also bought this Video 2 Go product: http://www.ionaudio.com/products/details/video-2-go

After I bought the above device, I remembered that my wife bought this for me years ago:

Will any of the above devices work with PVC?
Will my dual core Dell Studio 1737 be able to manage a PVC?

I cannot comment on the others but this one by startech has been bullet proof for me.

The key for any device to work with PVC is for it to install drivers on your computer and register itself as a source of video, such as a webcam. If it does that then it should be available to PVC.
