Broadcast from multiple locations

My SP is pushing us to figure out if this can be done. It seems like a logistics nightmare but would be wonderful if we could pull it off. I'm still learning how to do a broadcast from one location (I've asked a few questions and will likely ask more) so I can't even pretend to know if it's possible to do two locations.

I think the key is to switch from webcasting to video conferencing (PVC). Otherwise you've got some nasty timing issues.

I thought someone had successfully done that, but I'm not finding the threads.

One of the big issues is having to come up with the extra equipment to cover all the sites that will be broadcasting. Particularity when you consider that stake conferences are only twice a year and equipment tends to get rendered obsolete in about 5-7 years.

Are we allowed to use the church PVC system for this? Is there any reason not to use it?

I know a stake that uses WebEx for stake conference.

If you're allowed to conference with it, I can't see why it would be an issue to stake conference with it.

If you wish to have speakers real time from different locations, this is the simplest way to do it if you choose to use Church solutions. As for permission, other stakes have done it and I am not aware that there has been any objection. After all, it's just a Church videoconference with a lot of folks looking on.

We have done it in a few stakes here in Fl. PVC is your first choice because you can mute the Mics, www.Appear.in is another fine choice, but mics have to be muted at the source. with either choice, dont be in a hurry.
