Stake Leader and Change callings showing in all caps & not syncing with CDOL

About the time we switched to 3.4.1 (we were a beta unit, so mid September) I noticed the stake presidency callings set with the leader and unit change request displayed in MLS as STAKE_PRESIDENT, STAKE_1ST_COUNSELOR, STAKE_2ND_COUNSELOR, STAKE_EXECUTIVE_SECRETARY, and STAKE_CLERK (or something like that at least). I figured this change was to make it obvious which positions needed to be set through the Leader and Unit Change Request form.

The problem I noticed, however, was that a recent change made to one of these positions was not transferring to CDOL. It kept resetting back to the previous person (the one currently listed in CDOL). When I looked at the CDOL, the new person was showing at the bottom of the list with the all-caps calling name. After a couple weeks of this, I finally called LUS today.

Apparently this format change was not universal in nature or intentional. The new naming format was actually causing these callings to list as custom positions in CDOL and that is why they were being added at the bottom in all caps.

The fix LUS had me do was simple enough - delete my udx folder (C://Documents and Settings/All Users/LDS Church/MLS/data/udx). WARNING - deleting this folder will deauthorize your computer!! The analyst reset my security token and had me do a send/receive. In cleaned up my MLS issues. It will take a day or two, but CDOL should catch up in a bit.

Not sure what caused it, but the analyst mentioned she had just gotten off the phone with another person with the same issue. It appears to only affect some Stake MLS installs. I'm therefore posting this to help anyone else dealing with this issue.

I had this same problem while setting up a new ward today, thanks. I called support and they were unable to help me. But what directory is it in Windows 7? I saw 2 or 3, none of which were in the Users folder. One was in the Program Files folder and one in the hidden ProgramData folder; one had .dat files in it and another had a number of subfolders with CDOL in the name. I assume I should delete the latter? A strange result is that even though the calling name is BISHOPRIC_BISHOP, it shows up in CDOL under a Branch Presidency group instead of the Bishopric group. Only the Bishopric callings and a Chorister calling are a problem.

In Windows 7, the directory should be C://ProgramData/LDS Church/MLS/data/udx

Because it is hidden, the easiest way to get there is to type/paste the address in the address bar. If you know what you're doing, you can also set the folders to show hidden files and folders (or at least google how to turn it on).

Deleting the udx folder fixed the callings in MLS all right, but to get them fixed in CDOL I had to delete them, send/receive, re-add them, send/receive, and wait for them to be approved.
