Automatic purge for record retention

I notice that the MLS instance I inherited is filled with finance statements and transaction reports that go back to 2007 which is at odds with the record retention policy. Are they supposed to be there? If not is there a way to get MLS to purge all outdated records automatically or does it have to be done manually?

It has to be done manually at this point.
