Question about Name Input (Chinese)

Hi I am a membership clerk from Chinese Ward.
I have a question, all the names in MLS is PinYin, Not Chinese Character.
As I see on Wiki:
"A membership record must be accurate and complete if it is to be of the greatest value to priesthood leaders. "
Normally for Chinese people, it formats:
Like Me: 董文超/DONG WENCHAO/BENNY
Chinese Character/PinYin/English Name
Can I update Chinese Character in MLS with PinYin together?
Will this be a problem for output in the future reports?
Because we won't know the Chinese Character by just looking at the PinYin.
I don't feel respect when I call/write someone's name if I dont know that person's name.
Is it a standard that we have to input as English Letters?
Thanks.
Regards,
Benny
