It would be nice if the new lds.org Directory Tool would allow local leaders to set up a local mask for the structure of the phone number.

Unfortunately, I can totally see intervention at the CHQ-MLS transmission level where member-changed phone numbers show up as an urgent task:
"Phone Numbers need to be converted to new format"

I'm talking specifically about the new lds.org Directory Tool. IMO, the user-editable phone number field should be changed from a generic free-form field to one with structure, based on the country of residence.
