Restored Backup will not show Income and Expense report

I am an STS trying to help a ward with the CUBS transition. They have a new finance clerk, and can't find the pre-CUBS reports, so I tried to restore the OCT 17 backup on a separate machine in order to make the income and expense report printout.
I have done this successfully for a couple of other units. This time, after restoring the backup, I can view expenses and donations and print budget reports, but an attempt to print an income and expense report produces the "An error has occurred" message along with a null pointer exception posted in the mlslog.txt file. This has happened on the Oct 17 backup as well as one from a week previous. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I do not have a real suggestion, other than that I am having real problems restoring any backup into MLS 3.3 on a computer that thinks it is 2011. The last time I did a successful restore was with beta 3.3.0b7 and a computer running with a 2010 date. I am zero for four attempts in 2011.

If you really need the data, you may want to try again using an earlier date and possibly an earlier version of MLS.

I had this error after converting to CUBS. Ends up the database was corrupted and had to be rebuilt by a programmer and sent down to the unit.

This is probably the third or fourth post or thread where I have read that units are still trying to figure out the CUBs conversion. I am just a lowly Stake Clerk here on the western slope of Colorado, but seeing these posts makes me wonder just how many units are out there in the system that have yet to go through the procedures to make the post CUBs data reflect correct amounts in budget and other accounts.

Probably this is none of my business but I can't help but be a bit worried and concerned that there are still so many units (apparently still unknown at this time) that have yet to work through the steps to make their accounts reflect what they should. Not my place to advise anyone, but does the Church Finance Department know about or are they aware that there are units out there at the stake or unit level that are still working through the data mess left after the conversion?

I wonder if this isn't going to really make for some interesting audit reports this time around.

Under CUBS, financial details are much more visible to the Finance Department. I imagine that they can do queries to see, for example, how many units still have balances in subcategories of Budget Allocations that should no longer be there. So if they're curious, I think they could have a pretty good idea of what units have at least tried to take steps to make corrections after the CUBS transition.

And that will indeed be interesting and will be another source of information for CHQ as to how well the transition is going.

My opinion is that there are a lot of wards affected by the CUBS bug that affects budget and other balance. I did my due diligence to return accounts to their pre-CUBS balances, discovered the bug, realized there was nothing I could do about it, and left it at that. However, I think a lot of people are still trying to compensate for it and are therefore going in circles.
