Has Afaria been replaced by UDX for use with MLS?

RussellHltn and Alan_Brown - need your inputs, is AFARIA being used by MLS?

Installed MLS 3.2.4 on a new desktop and found that there was a folder C:\AFARIA with started tasks "HKLM:Run Afaria Client C:\Program Files\AClient\Bin\XCDiffCache.exe"

Deleted the folder and the start task, did a desktop restart and MLS appears to be working

Yes, when the transmission technology was overhauled as part of MLS 3.1 (about a year ago), UDX replaced Afaria. There are still a couple of artifacts in the MLS installer that refer to Afaria; I have not tried to find out why that is so, but your research seems to indicate that it isn't really needed.

Much of the documentation that refers to Afaria has not yet been updated. The documentation in the wiki is mostly user-contributed, and I haven't seen any users describe technical details on UDX yet; that's probably why no one has updated the wiki documentation.
