MLS mail cannot delete

In MLS, I have Urgent Task saying I have new mail. When I go into Mail I see an icon of an unopened envelope, but there is not subject nor a date. I try to click on the icon, I tried to delete, but cannot delete or open it. How can I delete this mail that is not a mail?

Mahalo's (Thank you) MK. I'll try both suggestions given in that mail string to see which one works. I'm headed for the Chapel soon. John

Had the same issue. My solution is posted in the link provided by mkmurray.
