Ok, I have a family which has no home phone and four family members with four individual cell phones. It seems that when there is a head of household in MLS, all the p#s are related only to the head of household. How do I put in the individual p#s for each individual in the family?

This issue has been discussed before in other threads. It would appear the real solution will require a change to MLS and maybe LUWS. In the mean time, somebody is going to suggest making each individual a separate household, but that is going to make home teaching assignments and some other local unit functions messy.

Unfortunately, MLS doesn't offer an easy way to do this. The ability to store individual phone numbers and individual email addresses for members of the same household is a long standing bug/feature request (3.5+ years), and I've not heard an ETA for a fix. It's been a stumbling block for several ward leaders in my stake in their adoption of the local unit websites.

There may be other workarounds, but my ward currently stores personal phone numbers (cell, work, etc) and personal email addresses in MLS's "Custom Member Fields". These custom fields can then be added to "Custom Reports". To make this info available to the ward website, save the custom report to a "News and Information" item on the website as an HTML table. You're welcome to contact me if you want a perl script that helps automate this.

The built-in online "Membership Directory" is limited to one phone per household and only lists email addresses if the member is registered on lds.org. This resulting "News and Information" item essentially replaces the default "Membership Directory", plus you can add links to maps or whatever.

Another fix that someone suggested was to make the email/phone part of the the prefered name. THat way is shows up in LUWS.
