HT/VT Visit/Contact Record

How soon do we expect the Slider thingy at the right hand end of each Companionship Report to be removed and sanity to prevail?
We try to keep HT/VT assignments to about four or five but some are less, 3, 2 or even one. When it comes to recording the visits, more time is spent messing with the sliders at the side of the page than updating the record.
Obviously the purpose of the change was not for "functionaily" - it looks very much like the old business of "wooden ut be grate if. . ."
No actually, it's not great at all and the sooner we go back to the standard old page layout, where you can actually see all the Households for each Companionship and tick off the ones that were visited, the better.
I looked and saw no reference to this in the most recent few pages of the Forum. Beg pardon if it was 'discussed' some months ago when it first appeared but I thought it was so cumbersome it would revert at the very first upgrade. Maybe I am the only one who doesn't like the wooden grate? :)

It sounds like you are talking about a vertical scroll bar on the panel containing each companionship that appears on the Enter Home Teaching Visits screen. If so, this appeared in MLS 3.1.2, but was fixed in MLS 3.1.3. See the thread Home Teaching Reporting Usability Problem in 3.1.2 where both the problem and the fix were discussed. It was fixed over a month ago.

But it's hard to believe you would still be running MLS 3.1.2. If you are, you should upgrade to MLS 3.1.5 as soon as possible. Have your Stake Technology Specialist help you with this.

Thanks Alan but I'm running 3.1.5 and as late as last Sunday the scroll bars were still there.

Was there a local fix dictated at the reference you gave? I should investigate the pointer in your reply and see what I can do.

If the STS can fix it and I have permission, he need not disturb his sleep.
I shall probably report.

OK and OK
I understand the situation now.
Sad to say the problem was still there when I updated HT Contacts on Friday. Friday was when I recieved the 3.1.5 update also. I did the VT report on Sunday and don't recall being less grumpy then but it has scroll selectors anyway. I'll be entering the HPG Home Teaching visits tomorrow, Tuesday (later today actually - it's nearly 1 am, the only time I function)
I shall report back tonight and if required, reabsorb my grissel. heh

PS And thanks for the very rapid response!

All sweet now Alan, Thank You.
But until I got the 3.1.5 this was not so.
My previous version must have been 3.1.2
