We have a young man who was just baptized, is in the Stake's Singles Ward and MLS shows him as being a member of Young Mens. Just one problem - the Singles Ward doesn't have a Young Mens organization. Two questions: Should he be a member of the Elder's Quorum? And, if so, how do we change that in MLS?

Organizationally, it certainly makes sense to put him in the Elders Quorum. It would be the bishop's call, though.

To change that in MLS:
  1. Go to Organizations > Young Men > Priests (I assume he is in the Priests Quorum organizationally, given his age)
  2. In the Members section of the Priests organization, find the young man's name (that should be easy, since he should be the only name listed there)
  3. Click the Remove link to the right of his name
  4. In the dialog that pops up, click the Select button by the "Select the destination organization" prompt.
  5. Select the Elders Quorum and click OK
  6. Click Save
That will remove him from the Priests Quorum and add him to the Elders Quorum.

Something we may (or may not) be forgetting and I think should be pointed out is that BradWeech said the young man "was just baptized," which means he likely doesn't have the Melchizedek priesthood. Prospective Elders are typically under the stewardship of the High Priests' Group. However, in this situation, there wouldn't be a HP Group, so the Elders' Quorum would probably be the next best organization to fellowship the young man.

I realize this brings us back to the same conclusion, but I thought it worth mentioning; if this were not a Singles' Ward, there would be the above mentioned factors to be considered.
