Ability to add non-member to calling in LCR or MLS

The handbook 2 says that "People who are not members of the Church may be called to some positions" (Handbook 2, sec. 19.1.1). Need a MLS or LCR feature added to allow non-members to be assigned a calling.

If this is a current feature in MLS / LCR, I would like to know how to complete this request. If there is not current feature for this, there should be one that allows us to list the non-member of the Church to be included in the web site directories fro their calling. For example, the non-member can be assigned to a calling and their information can be display on the directory as Family History Consultant so they can be identified as someone that can be contacted to fulfill their calling and help others.

I heard this feature existed in prior release of MLS but was sadly discontinued and needs reintroduced.

You can submit feedback using the Feedback link at the bottom of any page of LCR.

However, I think this ability is unlikely to come back due to privacy reasons. Although the handbook certainly allows non-members to be called to certain positions, entering their names on the church databases introduces privacy issues. The church has to comply with legal privacy requirements in many parts of the world and it appears tracking non-member callings is a casualty of these laws and requirements.

For a non member serving as an assistant den leader, I created a custom calling and included his name and sustain date as part of the calling title.

That's better than nothing, but it still doesn't show in directory or LDS Tools.
