Currency, exchange rates and the other account

We have some people in our ward that pay Tithing in US Currency and we deposit it into our Canadian bank account. We are essentially guessing on the exchange rate and then waiting for the statement to correct but are now wondering if there is a "correct" way for handling this. The problem is that the difference (plus or minus) between what we guessed and the actual amount shows up in the other account and we need to get it out.

Can we just correct the amount in the batch and expect it to be automatically reversed like for nfs checks?

Thanks.

Interesting challenge. I think I would do it that way, unless your area office has better instructions. I think I would also estimate just a tiny bit low on the exchange rate, so that most of your corrections are going in the same direction. But that should not really matter as far as the actual process is concerned.
