When setting up a new administrative (clerk) computer:

Verify the computer management software (IEM) is installed.
Verify that local unit security software (Sophos Anti-Virus) is installed.

Not quite true, but they're certainly upping the game:

Microsoft's latest Windows 10 nag screen: Upgrade now, or upgrade tonight.

Hi, Any update or ETA on when Windows 10 will support the MLS software on Ward Clerk PCs? I see other comments from 2015 so I am just looking for any update here in 2016. Thanks for all you do. Gary (Highland Utah)

The church rarely gives ETAs.

And I'd say it's a toss-up between eliminating MLS and making it able to work in Windows 10.

Hi,

I've been using the W10 recently and there are no problem with MLS Software. Probably because this is an outdated post. However, we have a directive from our Area Stake Technology Specialist to re-image all computers under our Stake here in the Philippines to Windows 7. I don't know why?

Because W10 isn't officially supported yet! If you have a problem, with the W10 installation, they (GCS) can't or won't be able help you.

For the above reasons your ASTS, is well within his rights in making that call!
