Actually, if you just get MLS running and do a couple of Send/Receives, CUBS will bring your finances right up to date.

And you can get the membership information by doing a Membership Refresh.

And you can't update HT/VT any longer, so . . . what's left? Upon further review, I'd say, forget the backup.

In MLS? That's not part of the membership record?
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Confidential files should not be stored on the hard drive. They should be stored on a flash drive that is stored in a locked cabinet.

In MLS. There is a section for saving reports and documents. Most of those have to do with reports and documents created in MLS and all are confidential.

That is correct for anything created and stored outside of MLS. But since we are talking about saved reports and other documents created within MLS this is as programmed. There is no way to extract these reports/documents in electronic format from MLS.

I will have to check on Sunday to see the specific origins of these documents.

Yes, you would lose those. The backup might restore them if MLS can read it.

I thought of that one last night. Another thing you might miss having is any custom reports you had developed. You would also lose the custom talents/skills information.

And the final item I was able to recall is that you would lose Geocodes. Although that would more often be an issue for the stake, there are some wards that do make extensive use of those.

So you are correct, it is not just as simple as finance and membership information. We are almost there, though.
