I work in a very fluid YSA ward so each time we open MLS we're greeted with a slough of membership update reports. Because of the improvements to LDS Tools, we no longer use the paper reports. How about an option, set on the ward level, to disable the function that brings up that capability?
Thanks!

For now, install a pdf print driver (my favorite is pdf redirect) and print the membership reports to the electronic copy. Then either save them or delete them.

Maybe you could figure out a way to save them directly to the recycle bin. Then create an automatic task to empty the recycle bin regularly.aclawson wrote:For now, install a pdf print driver (my favorite is pdf redirect) and print the membership reports to the electronic copy. Or modify the printer output tray so it outputs into the shredder.

Thanks for the responses! We have a workaround, but decided to make an improvement suggestion to eliminate the workaround.
Thanks again!

The forum is not the official feedback method. The official feedback is through the MLS message system. We can discuss it here but there is little chance those who make decisions will ever see it. And with the move from MLS to the online LCR site I doubt there would be any consideration to make such a change to MLS.proudfit wrote: We have a workaround, but decided to make an improvement suggestion to eliminate the workaround.

Try this:
Create a new printer. Specify a port of NUL:
Use any printer driver you want.
Anything sent to this port will simply vanish.

My habit is to click Preview, make sure there is nothing that requires my attention, then click Cancel. I don't even print to PDF. I'm saving the trees and the hard drive cycles.
