Is it okay to mail out checks if there is no internet?

We printed some checks today but the internet went down before we could do a "send/receive" in MLS. Can we still mail these checks even though we were unable to transmit them? I am not sure if the church uses positive pay and I just wanted to make sure the checks wouldn't bounce if we mailed them out before the church received record of them.

There was some indication that they do require the S/R before the check is valid. But I don't recall too many messages indicating problems with that. I think I'd error on the side of caution and make sure the S/R is done before they get the checks.

It's worth a try, but:
  • Our new computers have no modems
  • Our old computers would crash if using the modem
