we are new clerks in the ward and we are having trouble adding a new member of the bishopric to MLS as the second councilor. we are under the impression that we are not to have his actual records in the ward but we are not sure how this is to be done. any help would be appriciated

This document may be helpful to you.
One step that's not on here yet, that needs to be added: print a new signature card form from MLS and have each person who will be signing checks sign it.

Does this apply in June of 2023 or is there an updated procedure?
And if so maybe this information should be archived? (rendered unfindable?)

Except perhaps in limited areas of the world, MLS is no longer functional.

Everything would done in LCR now. While the mechanics changed, there's good odds that the concept still works.
