Password won't work

#1

Post by jkstutz »

I'm the Ward Clerk, and trying to edit an existing username. Username has worked in the past. However, no matter what we change the password to, and save/submit, when I log-out, he is not able to sign in, getting an error that the username/password don't match. Anyone seen this before?

Last year, a ward clerk reported having this problem with a particular user that could no longer log into MLS. Within a few days, but before I had a chance to personally investigate, the problem went away. We were never able to identify what, if any, action or event cleared it up.

I wonder if MLS has a lockout for too many tries?
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

So what's my next course of action? Contact the Stake Tech specialists? Is there an MLS office for the church?

First you would contact the stake clerk or stake technology specialist. Then if he can't help you, he can contact the Global Service Center.

I assume that you've verified that Caps lock is not on...just a thought.
