Non-member birthday for child

#1

Post by dstevens60 »

Is there a way to create a MLS record for a non-member child who does not have an official church record. I figured out how to add a household member, but could not figure out how to add a birthdate.

Nonmember records don't have a birthdate. For a child nonmember, that means you'll have to manually move the child from class to class each year; since there's no birthdate, MLS doesn't know how to move them to a new class each January.

Thank you. In this case the children are listed on the parent's record (an inactive member) with a birthday shown. A temporary record number was assigned. One of the children attends primary regularly (grandmother is active). So we can get them on a roll without a birthday?

Yes. You just go to the class list (e.g., Organizations > Primary > CTR 5) and click the "Add Member" link.
