Old members who are baptized and confirmed by performers not included at present Ward cannot be easily updated and edited because the performer's birthdate, full name, and membership number is needed and yet you cannot locate it because the performer is not on the list of membership.
Another concern is when an Elder or High Priest is Ordained by the members/ leaders of the Stake. You cannot easily update because the one who ordained is not on the list of membership in the present ward and you will still need to get their Birthdate, Fullname, and Membership number to complete the fill up form.

For Melchizedek Priesthood ordinations by those living in other wards of your stake, I think it is best for the stake clerk to record the ordination in the stake MLS. He will have to print the certificate and get it signed, anyway.

There is a form the bishop fills out for baptisms and Conformations that have all the information needed you just need to get the form from the bishop. You then can just type in the information.

There is also a form for this that is sent to the stake president from the bishop. The stake controls the form and should be inputting the information in the data base.
